- Job Description: Retail sales manager responsible for store sales performance, store operation and staff supervision.
Primary responsibility is for stores sales performance.
Responsible to train sales staff to improve individual abilities.
Responsible for customer service management.
Coordinates marketing with District Manager.
Responsibility for store to be maintained in clean and sanitised condition.
Orders supplies and products.
Responsible to schedule all shifts for store.
Responsible for opening and closing procedures.
Performs daily deposits.
Training, goal setting and team building.
Directs monthly staff meetings.
Performs employee reviews.
Writes and presents employee warnings for poor performance.
Participates in company wide hiring process.
Previous management experience helpful, but more important is an aptitude for mentoring people to succeed. Your personal sales performance combined with that of your team creates a successful store. Specific requirements include:
- Strong sales skills–1-2 years retail sales experience.
- Strong leadership skills–ability to build a sales team and motivate others.
- Availability to work 50 hours a week.
Our training program
Our management training program includes 3 months of supervised in-store training, covering all aspects of sales and employee management, followed by an extended mentor-ship program that carries you through your first year as a manager.

As the Operations Manager, your primary focus will be the associates within the store. You’ll be responsible for completing the hiring process and ensuring all associates are trained and developed. You’ll also work with the management team to ensure the store is properly stocked and maintained.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure the health and safety of the pets in our care
Develop your team: coaching, training, performance reviews, etc.
Responsible for all payroll related activities
Ensure management team has proper tools to achieve expected results
Ensure positive customer experience
Support hiring functions within the store
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university
Minimum of five years related experience working in a retail environment
Minimum of three years management experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
